Aims

To provide participants with an overview of writing and submitting a tender document for a public sector opportunity. Understanding when to go for an opportunity and how to prepare for the task, then leads to a practical description of the process step by step, including tips and tricks from years of experience on both the bid team and the procurement team conducting the evaluation. This course will increase your chances of success when bidding for public sector work.

Target Audience

This “Live” instructor-led course is designed for those with direct or indirect responsibility for winning work in the public sector.

 Learning Outcomes

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the public sector tender process and how to navigate it
  • Know how to qualify an opportunity in or out
  • Prepare for the tender writing process to include Research, Tender Analysis, and Bid Team Management
    and Planning
  • Understand the SQ and how to complete one, including Mandatory Information, References,
    Technical Questions and Financial Checks
  • Understand the Clarification process and how to use it
  • Write relevant Qualitative responses to impress evaluation teams
  • Prepare for and Deliver Bid Presentations and Demonstrations
  • Understand the Pricing submission and how to get it right and score highly
  • Get deeper into the mindset of the other team by understanding the roles of the Evaluators and the Moderator
  • Discuss what happens once the bid is in and how to respond to an Unsuccessful letter, including an
    Understanding of the Standstill Period and your rights in law
  • Discuss what happens if you get a have not been successful letter

Course Delivery Options

Classroom Delivery

Research shows that some professionals prefer physical classroom courses. These are held at our training centre in London (or at the client’s venue).
