Dr Carter is an international training and development consultant with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from university with a master’s degree in management studies. Dr Carter is a NALP licensed contract law paralegal and member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, and is a World Contract and Commercial Association Fellow and Advanced Contract and Commercial Management Practitioner.

He began his management career in the public sector and thereafter for a large food manufacturer in the UK. Later in his career, he joined the Business School in North London before setting up his own consultancy.

Dr Carter has had numerous articles and papers published in journals such as Supply Management, World CC Strategic Journal and the In Procurement Magazine. Dr Carter has undertaken training and consultancy assignments for many blue-chip organisations such as Virgin Media, Hitachi Rail, Serco, Rolls Royce, Oracle, Total Oil, Royal Bank of Scotland, JP Morgan, Lucas Engineering and Systems, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij, Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations, NDC, ADNOC, ZADCO, Ericsson, British Aerospace, Marconi, BBC, Magnox. Chevron USA, Caspian Pipeline Consortium, Tengzichevroil Company, Coca-Cola and Shell International. Dr Carter has worked in many locations, including the Far East, the Middle East, South America, the USA, Europe and Africa.

Dr Carter’s now famous 10c’s’ of supplier evaluation model has now become an accepted model for the evaluation of supplies and contractors and has been adopted by many organisations around the World.  It is also part of the CIPS and WorldCC course curriculum.
