I recently delivered a talk about one of the weapons in my book “Allied Weapons that made the difference in WW2” published by Pen and Sword. The host was the Iford branch of the Probus Club. The talk went very and the club’s events manager sent me this message of thanks..

“Hi Ray, thank you very much for your talk to us yesterday. It was excellent and very well received by our members. A number of them said to me afterwards how enjoyable and interesting they found it. You covered a lot in a short time. Although several of our members know quite a lot about the WW11 you talked about many aspects of the war which they were unaware of and which they will investigate further. The challenging history of the development of the Typhoon and how its initial problems were overcome to make it a very important weapon of war was particularly interesting. The whole book looks like an excellent piece of research and an absorbing read. We look forward to hearing more about your next book”
